I Have Been Thinking Of A Diabeties Test For Some Time But Don't Know Why I Never Did, I'll Try And Get One Done Soon To Be Safe.nondisclosed_email@example.com (moneyballs2)Fri, 10 Feb 2006 08:57:08 +0000 Check your health!https://benigmaforums.runboard.com/p982,from=rss#post982https://benigmaforums.runboard.com/p982,from=rss#post982ok..this is a little on the serious note. but it's something i thought i just had to say. yesterday we had to rush my mother to the hospital. she almost died because it turned out she had diabetes and didn't know it. yesterday she went into a diabetic shock and almost lost her life. earlier this year my father who is a truck driver was driving on the highway and temporarily lost his eyesight all because it turned out he had diabetes and didn't know it. when it happened to him i thought..."well ofcourse", because he is a very big man. he eats all the wrong things, and could take down three 2 liters of soda a night. so it wasn't a shock to me when i found out. so i didn't take it seriously. but last night, when my mother got sick and we found out it was diabetes i couldn't believe it. my mother is such a small frail looking woman. she doesn't eat alot of food, and sometimes it would take her all day just to drink one can of soda. she also doesn't eat that much sweets. having my mother get sick really opened my eyes. i never thought of getting tested for diabetes because i figured i wasn't a candidate for it, i drink mostly crystal light, i don't eat alot of junk food, and i consider myself to be physically pretty healthy. but i could be wrong. i could be so wrong. so i am going to go have myself tested for diabetes and anything else that could sneak up on me one day and steal my life away. diabetes is a very serious illness. it could cause blindness, loss of limbs, death. so please, if not for me, atleast for your family, or future family who you would want to "see" grow old, or be able to run around and play with, or just to enjoy a long a healthy life, get tested. if caught on time, it could save your life. i love everyone here at enigma and want only the best for you all. All my love and prayers Xiao Lynn nondisclosed_email@example.com (Xiao Lynn)Thu, 09 Feb 2006 21:31:26 +0000
