"The planet doesn't like our powers..."

I'm not a very religous, but i sense a change to take place. If the world continues at the rate of consumption that humans force upon it in this day and age, something will break...

hmmm. i wonder about our resources and if they will or will never run out. you see all of these futuristic movies that show the world in the future where only the rich can afford meat and poor people result to consuming lesser quality foods like rats, etc. lol but i don't think we are headed that way. i mean...how can the world run out of cows and chickens to eat...as long as there are farms that grow them for consumption.

there was a scare a few years back where scientist said that soon our chocolate supply would run out,how is it possible as long as there are seeds to plant the cocoa leaves?

i think sometimes the government, scientist, and big wig companies get together and try to find ways to get people to spend money on things by telling them that the supply is running out.

i am a religous person..and i know that soon..something is going to go down. something big. but i just don't ever worry about our resources dwendling down. that's the least of humanities worries.

Well companies are already working on better feul and of course the Hydrogen fueled cars. Now think about this: The Government. There's no way that the gov. would let something that they can stop happen. It's like 9/11, they shut down Wallstreet. Plants and animals like cows could never run out. Plants regrow, animals reproduce. NASA has designed a water refresher for the astronauts. They can reuse their water for about 3 years. AND there's more water in the ocean than we know what to do with. Water will never ever ever ever ever run out because you can't create or destroy matter, you can only change it. So that means that since the water isn't going to dissapear it's just going to move around. Humans couldn't drink all the water in the ocean (you can take the salt out so don't reply with "you can't drink saltwater") and plus waste water will go through the soil and will refill the aquafers. However, we are consuming water faster than the aquafers refill so that's a problem. Eventually, there will be none left. So we won't use those anymore. But then after time they'll fill up again through the soil and all shall be well again. Air pollution. I don't know anything about it. I know that the Pentagon is working on things to reverse effects on the environment and is stopping global warming. The most important thing right now is switching from fossil fuels to air or solar power. The oil will run out in about 30 or 40 years. Not all oil, but the oil easily accessable (sp?) Already companies like GM and GE are working on such things. I wouldn're worry about the end of the world by human hands, the gov would step in.
I am a religious person and I believe that Jesus will come again.

that i don't really believe. just to mention 9/11 these were men on the fbi's most wanted list, who were using their real names. the government knew where they were, where they lived, which high jacked planes they were one, and knew they were in flight school.

hmmm, have you ever seen the film "The Long Kiss Goodnight"? i believe there is much truth in this film.

i mean do you really believe the government can track killer bees from africa everywhere they go, but they just don't know how the drugs are getting in?

i too am religious, and i know the world will not end by the hands of man, far from it.

True. Sort of. They're two different things. The planning and all of this happened during the Clinton administration, and they did nothing because there really wasn't a threat (even though there was). They wouldn't put money into catching terrorists until people died, and people didn't die until they were attacked. I don't know why they didn't do anything. Ask Sandy Burger (I don't know how to spell his name). Around the time that the 9/11 commision was doing research, he was caught stuffing his pants with confidential papers. Why? Becaue there was info that would have put him in hot water. Anyway, they gov. wouldn't let it (Global destruction) happen because they're already doing things about it. The pentagon is investing in new resources and they have the top scientists cracking the ozone puzzle. And the Patriot Act wasn't around at the time so they couldn't have gotten a warrant because they didn't really know what they were up to. Keeping track of a handful of people (out of about 380 million) is harder than seeing weather problems on a global scale. But my main proof is that they're already working on it.

I am a very reliqious person, and I believe that actually instead of helpin gus, our current government will hinder us. No matter how many promises they make, no matter what tyhey say, how long does it take to see results if we see any? I believe Jesus will come again, and the end of this world will be by the hands of the Lord.
