The Net At Enigma
Whether you want to talk about Soccer in your own country, or Football as its called in the U.K, this is the place to do it. Post a topic on your favourite team or favourite subject related to Soccer and then wait for the responses. This is Net at Enigma. Put your best foot forward and shoot.

Re: The Net At Enigma
I read this and really can't let it pass, you say it as if Soccer is the name of the game and "England" or any country calling it Football is wrong, let me quote a rather well known organisation that has a massive say in the game : -
Fédération Internationale de Football Association
More widely known as "FIFA"...and the very first governing body of the game was in England and was called the FA "Football Association" who associated over the game of "Association Football" the games official name.
Probably sounds like i'm being "picky" but Brit's hate the name of the game being changed to Soccer.

Re: The Net At Enigma
Hey, then youll be pleased to know that i am a Brit. This board is operated from America. As a Brit i was pointing more towards the fact that it is called Football in England and everyone else calls it Soccer. Dont worry, i know and im completely with you on that.

Re: The Net At Enigma
I think football, is clearly a game for feet and a ball, so it makes more sense to call it football. France calls it Football as well. I'm with you on that not that I am British. Common sense, the idea of being different I suppose is the reason it was changed, who knows..

…
Everyone outside N. America calls it football, as that is the name of the game.
