enigma board design
there was a comment made by one of our staff members who said enigma would probably be more successful if the design was different. so i decided to put up a poll and see what you guys think. please if you put down "change the design " for your answer, let us know what you would like to see changed.
thanx.

Re: enigma board design
I see nothing wrong with the layout, however you might look at your board with a serious eye and try to judge whether some things might be hard to read because of the colors. The only thing I spot are the Buttons on your edit screen for your links, bold, quotes, etc. the background on the buttons might be lightened up one shade.

Re: enigma board design
Im sorry XIao, i made retarded comment, but you misinterpreted me. I DIDNOT mean the desgin sucks (( for lack of better grammer: IT RoKkxxxxorz My Sockkkxxxerz))I just meant that minor tweaking here or their might improve it (((ever so slightl))) i love the layout, im sorry for taking a critaical attitude. One problem, i DO have is that, i know its sorta the idea behind enigma, but, some of the forums can be grouped together at least. SOME. It slighty discouraging to newbies when the scrool down 5 debate forums to find a forumn that simply sayd debate. Ive realayed many people to this site (friends, oldbies at othe r forumns of mine , etc.) and they have all replyed in like manner, stateing that above. i dont know, just a suggestion.

Re: enigma board design
Hello Rikimaru
I know that when I ask people for input about my board, I prefer constructive criticism. I do not ask for input just because I can, I do so because the Members are the only ones that can tell me if the fonts are too small, or if the colors I use make it hard to read, or if they find it easy to get around... or like your last suggestion.. whether the forums are grouped well, in their humble opinion. All of this helps the board owner, if what is said is done respectfully and as constructive criticism.
I do not like it when someone uses the opportunity to mindlessly attack the board because I and several others put alot of effort into it and people ought to be considerate of that fact. I also feel that comments such as "It's a beautiful board." or "Love the Board." or "The board is perfect" do not help me in what I am trying to achieve. I do appreciate such comments, don't get me wrong, it's just that I am more looking for suggestions on how to improve the board.
I figure that Xiao asked the question because someone said something which got her thinking and she wanted good feedback.. not just pats on the back for doing a good or great or fabulous job. I figure she can take or leave my suggestions as she sees fit, but what I offer is something she may not have really noticed before.

Re: enigma board design
Wait, who are you, and what in the bee-jesus are you talking about? I didnt attack the board, if i hadn't made up a couple of posts at other boards ((where ove never seen you before)) It would'nt even be here in the first place! I am the former owner, so why would i, as you said, "mindlessly attack the board"? I made a comment about the design, not to degrade the board, but to improve it. I once saw a board design with that plain black and green preloaded design, and it had more than a hundred members. The board doesnt have any problems, im just simply trying to improve upon perfection.
