Has your electricity ever been out? It happened to me just now. At around 5:25, or somewhere along that time (I don't really know the exact time), I was making myself soem food, then the lights went out, the microwave I was using suddenly stopped, and, worst of all, my air-conditioning stopped. I had to wait 3 hours or so for electricity to be restored. And it wasn't fun. But at least it didn't last long, and it has happened before, so it wasn't competely new.

Usually, the electricity goes out during a heavy thunderstorm, but sometimes, on very few occasions, such as today, the electricity just goes out, seemingly for no particular reason. However, I do know that sometimes there is reason. In my opinion, today's power outage may have been caused by overload- it was a pretty hot day, and there may have been a lot of people using air-contitioning, or other electric appliances. It's not entirely impossible. But whatever the reason was, it happened, and it's over with. It doesn't happen much, but when it does, it's not fun.

That's it for now. I'll post again the next time something happens. Until then, I hope you don't mind the wait. That is, if you even read my posts, lol.

Stanley Cup disapointment

Man, I had really been counting on the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup. They had always been a favourite team of mine. Last night's game was one of the most exciting Cup games I had ever seen, but in the end, the Carolina Hurricanes captured the Cup.

At first, I didn't think that the Oilers would make it as far as they did, because their first opponent in the playoffs was the Detroit RedWings, who had been leading the league almost all season. My original prediction for who would win the Cup was that Detroit and the Ottawa Senators would be in the final game, and Detroit would win. Seeing Detroit dominate almost all season, I didn't think the Oilers would stand much of a chance. But, the Oilers beat out the RedWings, and eventually made it to the final games. I thought that Edmonton had the Playofs won, but I was wrong.

Near the end of the game, the score was Carolina:2, and Edmonton:1. Edmonton pulls their goalie to put an extra player on the ice. I thought it would help Edmonton, but it wasn't so. The Hurricanes rushed the puck up the ice, and scored in the Oiler's empty net to make the score 3-1. A minute later, Carolina won the Stanley Cup. Man, I was disapointed. But at least the Oilers had a good run in the Playoffs. So, I guess there's nothing to do but wait until next year for the Oilers to win, or better yet, the Saint Louis Blues (because I live in Saint Louis).

Well, that's about all I have to say about the Stanley Cup. tk90, out.
